GOOD OL' SG!

Big changes have occurred! My amazing husband is finally OUT OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL WORLD! About a year ago he decided he wanted to change his career path. He didn't feel like pharm was a long term career but he didn't know what he wanted to do "when he grew up". That's when he decided he wanted to go back to school and get his MHA (Masters in healthcare administration). He didn't end up applying til the summer but he knew that's what he wanted. He only applied to one school…University of Minnesota. It's the number 2 program and he can do it mostly online. Once he got accepted he was open to a bunch of job listings on the Minnesota grad website. He noticed a post for a position at the University of Utah. He had previously gone biking with the CEO over a year ago but had a connection with him through his buddy Ryann Degraff. He decided to contact him and ask if he would be up in the night to apply. He was suppose to have 10 years of experience but aside from that the position was a perfect transition for him because it was sales oriented and had to do with contacting doctors still. He decided to apply, got the first interview and many other interviews after and after a waiting a few months for the news he finally heard that he GOT THE JOB!!!! Seriously I love my hubby and know he's amazing but I'm still shocked he got the job! This was a game changer for us because not only was offered more money than his previous job but it meant if things go well then we might not have to go the fellowship route and move!!! He had a few week break in between quitting so we decided to take the kids with Teddy and her kids to St. George. Our buddy Cody Haycock has a condo there that we were able to rent for a great price. It was perfect.
The weather was beautiful and so nice to get down to more warmth and so nice to be with my hubby and my family. BUT it was still a little crazy. It's always crazy when you have little kids off schedule. It's never truly a vacation with small kids but they have so much fun getting into a different environment, get outside, sleep together in the same room, and just play play play. They loved having Janie there (although they all had very tired and trantrumy moments…that's just how it goes). Eileen ended up coming down too so that was fun for the kiddos. While there we went to parks, rode bikes, hiked below the H rock, got lots of cookies and drinks, went swimming indoors and checked out the Tuachan theater. Kiddos had a blast and we had fun just being in warmer weather. Like I said it was a bit crazy and not relaxing in the least bit but I'm glad we went.
