Christmas Eve - Cannon Family Party

The Cannon Family Christmas Pajama Party- Christmas Eve

What a fun night! Well in between the Tate family party and the Cannon family party both Stockton and Mckaylee got sick again! December has been a nightmare with sickness! Just as soon as we thought they were better Mckaylee started grabbing her ear a lot so we took her and of course she has a bad ear infection and another virus so we put her on an antibiotic. The next day Stockton had a fever of 103 so we were back at the dr. Of course his double ear infection had gotten worse (after 7 days of antibiotics) so we had to a do a 2 round shot of a stronger antibiotic. That night he threw up 4x and we don't know why. Luckily we got his 2nd shot on Christmas Eve and he was a different boy. By Christmas Eve night both Stock and Mckaylee were all better and in the best moods! They lasted until 8:00p.m. without fussing and that's a lot for my kiddos.

The tradition at the Cannon family party is tamales, chips and dips, and peanut crochets (along with many other deserts) and we all wear our PJ's. We rotate houses each year. This year it was Grandma Jane's condo and Erica's condo. We started out eating and exchanging gifts in Janie's and then headed down to Erica's for dessert and the white elephant exchange...I laughed so hard!

Grandma Jane gave Stockton the Pinnochio and he wanted to play with it but it is a family heirloom so we couldn't let him touch it. We also got cute twin dolls from Lezlie, a Thomas the train phone, cute hats and gloves, etc.

The White Elephant Exchange
Some of the funny presents were....the 40H bra, the santa velvet boxers that Grandpa Hal put on, hairy legs barbie, BYU hate (they are all big U of U fans), toilet golf, sweat it out 80's shorts, etc. We were all laughing so hard!

Grandma Jane kneedle points Stockings and words cannot even describe the work, time, money and dedication that goes into these amazing pieces of art. She made Mckaylee's this year and it is beyond beautiful! It had to have taken the entire year to make. It makes me teary eyed thinking about it. It truly is the most amazing and cherished present that we receive. Grandma Crystal is making Stockton's and it will be ready by next year... I can't wait! Thank you so much Grandma Jane!
