KACE ALLERGIST APPT
This poor little buy has a lot to deal with in his short life. Because he turned 1 year we had to get him re-tested for his allergies. Good and bad news....we are confirmed that he has has NO DAIRY ALLERGY. He started breaking out a little again when we started giving him whole milk so we stopped and waiting for our appoint. That was the good news but the bad news is he came back with strong PEANUT ALLERGY still :( We don't know the severity of it but we do know it's pretty bad and we are suppose to keep him away from anything that was made in a factory with peanuts or contains peanuts. It's scary because there was just a story about an 11 year old girl that died from eating a peanut butter rice krispie treat. She immediately spit it out and she had 3 epi-pens and still died. I can't control everything he is around for his entire life. It just scares me! I have to be that mom now. I have to monitor any food he is given, who's giving it, talk to all people that may give him food, etc. And he may have to be in peanut free environment. It's crazy how a lot of kids are showing up with these deadly allergies. why is that? Why does it seems so much more prevalent? It just breaks my heart! 1 out of 5 kids grow out of it so I'm hoping he is one of those! We will get him re-tested in a year. Cross our fingers and say lots of prayers.
They labeled his back and injected like 12 different common allergens and then they wait 15 minutes to see what flares up.
He sure is cute though!
